LA Irish Film Fest announces selection

The La Irish Film Festival features its program for your 2011 event, which runs Sept. 29 to March. 2. Opening evening event features a celebration of actress Fionnula Flanagan, a screening of helmer John Michael McDonagh's comedy thriller "The Guard," starring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle, together with a performance from soprano Judith Mok within the Academy of motion Picture, Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. The comfort in the fest's tests will exist in the Aero Theater in Santa Monica. Incorporated within this would be the U.S. premiere of "Imaging the Quiet Guy," helmer Se Merry Doyle's documentary concerning the building from the classic John Ford movie starring John Wayne, as well as the West Coast premiere of "The Swell Season," a docu about singer-songwriters Glen Hansard and Marketa Iglova, helmed by Nick August-Perna, Chris Dapkins and Carlo Mirabella.
